Elastic Smart Contracts in Blockchains

چکیده

In this paper, we deal with questions related to blockchains in complex Internet of Things (IoT)-based ecosystems. Such ecosystems are typically composed IoT devices, edge cloud computing software services, as well people, who decision makers scenarios such smart cities. Many decisions analytics can be based on data coming from sensors, and people. However, they different levels abstraction granularity. This poses a number challenges when multiple used together contracts. work proposes apply our concept elasticity contracts thereby enabling between the context IoT. We propose reference architecture for Elastic Smart Contracts evaluate approach city scenario, discussing benefits terms performance self-adaptability solution.

Making Blockchains Smarter: Towards Automated Robust Smart Contracts in Hyperledger

1 Background The world has seen a large amount of investments and developments going into the blockchain technology in recent years. In essence, a blockchain can be viewed as a distributed append-only log, the integrity of which is backed by the consensus of a network of nodes. Many properties of blockchain are considered to be desirable for the operation and collaboration of a variety of diffe...

Raziel: Private and Verifiable Smart Contracts on Blockchains

Raziel combines secure multi-party computation and proof-carrying code to provide privacy, correctness and verifiability guarantees for smart contracts on blockchains. Effectively solving DAO and Gyges attacks, this paper describes an implementation and presents examples to demonstrate its practical viability (e.g., private and verifiable crowdfundings and investment funds, double auctions for ...

Using Smart Contracts and Blockchains to Support Consumer Trust Across Distributed Clouds

name of conference: LATE BREAKING PAPER. In this paper, we propose to add blockchains as a mechanism to store cloud attestations. Blockchains are: 1) cryptographically auditable, 2) append only, 3) accessible to all, 4) tamper resistant. Blockchains also require no central trust mechanism (hence, no central point of failure). Smart contracts are a recent advance of blockchain technology that al...

Can Blockchains Solve the Holdup Problem in Contracts?

A basic problem in contracting is holdup: after one party has made relationship-specific investments, the other party refuses to perform unless the first one offers better terms than the original contract. Such renegotiation deters relationship-specific investments and reduces the value of trade via contract, which can either result in no trade or more trade within firms. A classic example is t...

Quantitative Analysis of Smart Contracts

Smart contracts are computer programs that are executed by a network of mutually distrusting agents, without the need of an external trusted authority. Smart contracts handle and transfer assets of considerable value (in the form of crypto-currency like Bitcoin). Hence, it is crucial that their implementation is bug-free. We identify the utility (or expected payoff) of interacting with such sma...
